Important safety information

  • The most common side effects are nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation and stomach pain, especially when the dose goes up. Eat smaller meals and stop eating when full.
  • Not for anyone with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or multiple endocrine neoplasia type 2 (MEN 2). Tell your provider about a lump or swelling in your neck.
  • Get help right away for severe stomach pain that does not go away (possible pancreatitis), pain in the upper right belly or yellow skin (possible gallbladder problems), or signs of dehydration.
  • If you take insulin or a sulfonylurea, the risk of low blood sugar is higher. Do not use during pregnancy; stop before trying to conceive as your provider advises.
  • Measure every dose exactly as labeled. The FDA has received reports of dosing errors with compounded GLP-1 medications, often from confusion about units and syringes.
  • Tirzepatide can make birth control pills less effective after you start and after each dose increase. Ask your provider about a backup method.
  • Compounded medications are prepared by a licensed US pharmacy for an individual patient. They are not FDA-approved, and the FDA does not verify their safety, effectiveness or quality before they are dispensed.

Prescription only. A licensed provider reviews your health history in an online visit and decides whether this program is appropriate for you. Tell your provider about every medication, supplement, allergy and condition, and whether you are pregnant, trying to conceive or breastfeeding. If you have a severe reaction, trouble breathing, chest pain or swelling of the face or throat, call 911.

Questions, answered

Straight answers about Compounded Tirzepatide.

How much is tirzepatide at Golden Glow?

Compounded tirzepatide is $330 a month or $795 a quarter at every dose, including the visit, provider review, medication, supplies and shipping.

Semaglutide or tirzepatide: which is right for me?

Both are weekly injections that lower appetite. Tirzepatide also acts on GIP, and in a 2025 head-to-head trial of the brand-name products it led to greater average weight loss than semaglutide, with similar stomach side effects. Results vary. Your provider weighs your history, goals and budget.

Is compounded semaglutide or tirzepatide FDA-approved?

No. Compounded GLP-1 medications are prepared by licensed US pharmacies for individual patients and are not FDA-approved. Brand-name versions are FDA-approved and are a separate option to discuss with your provider.
